drawings and specifications for the new church which was to replace the wooden church that the parishioners had been using since 1938.<\/p>\n<p>His design specifications for the church included five cupolas and a Baroque-styled main cross.&nbsp; Detailed instructions as to the latter\u2019s installation were included.&nbsp; <span style=\"font-size: large;\">However, the parish leaders opted for a neo-Byzantine look.&nbsp; The five cupolas were replaced by one large dome, and one simple Orthodox cross. Rev. Paul Darmoc, pastor of St. Michael&#8217;s Parish, at the time, directed and advanced the building of the new church.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: large;\">The result is that the exterior of the church has little semblance to the architect\u2019s original conceptual drawings <\/span>(See below the Front and Side Views).<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t<section class=\"elementor-section elementor-top-section elementor-element elementor-element-346fbec elementor-section-boxed elementor-section-height-default elementor-section-height-default\" data-id=\"346fbec\" data-element_type=\"section\" data-e-type=\"section\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-container elementor-column-gap-default\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-column elementor-col-100 elementor-top-column elementor-element elementor-element-645843e\" data-id=\"645843e\" data-element_type=\"column\" data-e-type=\"column\">\n\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-wrap elementor-element-populated\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-99de639 elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"99de639\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>As it stands today, the <a href=\"https:\/\/orthodox-world.org\/en\/i\/25163\/United-States\/Indiana\/Hammond\/Church\/Saint-Michael-Ukrainian-Orthodox-Church\">Ukrainian Orthodox Church in Hammond Indiana<\/a>, is an impressive edifice even though it does not reflect the usual Ukrainian Baroque-style elements which were the signature features of G.
